What real Prosecco is

Prosecco is a light, fruity white wine made from the Glera grape, best known in its sparkling form. Its freshness and easy drinking have made it one of the most requested wines in the world.

The guarantee: designation and State seal

Since 2009, Prosecco has been a Controlled Designation of Origin (DOC). Only wine produced in a defined area between Veneto and Friuli, under a strict set of rules, may carry the name. Every bottle is analysed and, at bottling, receives a State seal that certifies its origin. That is the line between a Prosecco and a sparkling wine that merely resembles one.

Origin, not imitation

As Prosecco grew popular, sparkling wines that copy the style but not the origin multiplied, and the customer doesn't always know what is being served. Here there is no such doubt: what you find is Prosecco of designated origin, with the guarantee the name demands.
